Michael Allen is a leading public affairs and campaign professional and for most of the past decade has lived and worked in the US serving on many of the United States’ most high profile election campaigns as a senior executive with one of the beltway’s pre-eminent political firms.

His experience includes strategic and political advice for the Democratic Party, candidates up and down the ticket, unions, ballot initiatives, various third party issue campaigns and numerous state house and senate operations across the country.

Prior to that, Michael served as Executive Director of the Colorado Senate Fund. As the statewide leader, Michael was responsible for shifting the senate from Republican to Democratic control for the first time in 41 years.

Following Barack Obama’s inauguration, Michael returned to Australia and co-founded Campaigns & Communications Group, one of Australia’s first full service government affairs and campaign agencies.

In additional to a complex understanding of government processes and campaign strategy, Michael’s diverse experience has provided him with elite public relations skills across research and polling, grassroots community organising, micro-targeting techniques and direct contact tools.
